    Street parking is even more limited this year, and we want to minimise the carbon footprint of the event - so please don't drive (and if you absolutely have to, please carpool).

    Our Big Gay Buses are your best option - we are still working out the details of these, so be on the lookout for updated info. Last year, we had routes to and from Britomart, Karangahape Road, and the Henderson Interchange.

    There are also public buses that will take you to Point Chevalier. You may need to walk/scooter a short distance from the bus stop.

     

    Can I park my bike?


    Absolutely! Roll right up to the gate for free secure VIP parking, so that you can enjoy the event worry-free. Thank you for easing congestion, reducing emissions and freeing up space in our city!

The home of the annual Auckland Pride Festival staple Big Gay Out, Coyle Park covers nearly 5ha, with grassy open spaces, mature trees, harbour views, impressive cliff faces, and a rock shelf exposed at low tide.

The well-equipped playground features a flying fox and space net for older children.

The park is well connected with paths, and good access to the toilets, playground and Point Chevalier beach. Some paths are steep and there are steps in some places.

Several paths lead down to the beach. The beach is tidal, and the best times for swimming are at mid to high tide.

There is a car park and bus stop at the end of Point Chevalier Road near the park entrance.
