Where & When

Grey Lynn Library Hall

22nd Feb, 7pm-9.30pm

Full Schedule

You're invited to come on a journey to the 80's and 90's US queer scene.

See the World through the lens of T, a young queer activisit during the AIDS epidemic. A time of great change, hope and dynamic politics for the rainbow communities.

T, who now resides in Aotearoa, is a wander lust, documentarian, raconteur and long time protester.

The images you'll see are pre cell phones and selfies. Featuring big hair, perms, rat tails, mullets and 80's fashionista as well as protests and activisim for LGBTQI folks.

Be transported through the vibrant imagery and stories, of a time when the rainbow flag was being adopted as a symbol of unity and pride.

Joining T is DJ DARKLING.
Hailing from Tasman,  Queer Boi DJ Darkling will bring the 80's vibe to this event & give us all a reason to belt out the bangers and hit the dance floor!

Grey Lynn Library Hall 7-9.30, nibbles and drinks provided (koha appreciated).

Dance to follow the slide/video show.

Spot prizes for best 80's/90's outfits and quiz answers.
