Queer Yarns are back for Pride 2025. Come and learn how to crochet your own Rainbow flag to take home and wave proudly at the Pride Parade. Pride flags are important symbols for the Queer community. Instructions and all necessary supplies will be provided on how to make a Rainbow flag or one of the many others that represent LGBTQIA+ identities. All abilities welcome. Time expectation: 30 mins for experienced crocheters or allow up to 3 hrs if you’ve never picked up a hook!

This event is part of the 2025 Auckland Pride Festival. Queer Yarns are cosying up in the same space comedian James Hilary Penwarden who will be performing at 1pm. Click on the Rainbow tag to see all our gallery Pride events or check out the full Auckland Pride Festival programme at aucklandpride.org.nz
