Peter Wells Keynote Speaker

Every year, Samesame But Different invites an LGBTQIA+ author to deliver a lecture or keynote address which allows them the space to reflect on the current queer literary world. Named in memory of the festival’s late founder, writer and activist Peter Wells, the keynote speaker for 2025 is Trinity Thompson-Browne.

Trinity (Ngāti Kahungunu, Muaūpoko), is a poet and toi Māori photographer whose work focuses on story sovereignty.
