Hugo's Rainbow Show

Hugo’s Rainbow Show is a vibrant, musical exploration of the science of the skies. The performer, drag king Hugo Grrrl, guides the audience through the story of a child called Skyler searching for their friend Archie The Rainbow.

They meet new friends along the way - Ray The Sun, Misty The Cloud and Wayne The Rain, and together they create the right weather conditions for Archie to come out. Each character has their own song, and chapter of the storybook, and is portrayed by Hugo in a matching, outrageous costume.

This project aims to combine entertainment and education, using outlandish characters and captivating storytelling to explain the science of weather systems, while also exploring themes of diversity and inclusion.
