Come along to Girls, Go Get 'Em, a warm and supportive workshop where we’re here to help you step into the workforce with confidence and pride. Led by Mother Meghan IMAN, a proud Māori trans woman with a background in HR and Recruitment, we’ll walk you through everything from creating a CV that stands out to feeling prepared and confident in interviews – all in a relaxed, friendly environment.
This first workshop is focused on our trans rangatahi who have left school and are preparing to enter the workforce, as well as our trans women in Aotearoa's Ballroom Scene who are looking for new job opportunities or career advancement.
We’re here to provide strengths-based advice, mock interviews, and lots of support. Plus, we’ll provide food and drinks to keep you nourished throughout the session.
Each participant will leave with a personalised CV, Cover Letter, and some assistance towards your professional attire – so you can walk away feeling prepared and empowered for your next steps.
We’re also hoping to expand this offering to the wider queer community in future workshops.
Who it’s for:
- Trans rangatahi transitioning from school to work
- Trans women in the Aotearoa Ballroom Scene
- All trans and queer individuals seeking employment support (for future workshops)
