Festival Registrations for the 2023 Auckland Pride Festival Open Alongside Applications for Proud Centres and Funding!

Auckland’s Pride Month is set to return as energetic and defiant as ever as we bring our communities back together in person for the first time in two years. Auckland Pride is excited to launch the registration and application process that will see hundreds of community events be part of next year’s region-wide celebration.

We’re proud to announce the return of key partnerships that enable us to support communities to create events and tell their stories during the Festival. Our partnership with Auckland Council is stronger than ever for the delivery of Proud Centres, we’ve renewed our partnership for the vital Pride & Spark Empowerment Initiative, and are looking forward to increasing accessibility with the Access Pride Fund.

Thanks to our partnership with Digital Partner NV Interactive, event organisers are now able to create their events directly through our new Registration Hub. The Registration Hub is a central place to manage your events, preview how they’ll look on our website, and update its details at any time - making it easier for event organisers to load their events and have control over their festival listings on our website.

Auckland Pride and Auckland Council are working a lot closer together to bring Proud Centres to life. The key Proud Centres coordinator will sit within the Auckland Pride team and work with Community Centre teams to develop fantastic community programming across Tāmaki Makaurau. Auckland Pride is excited about playing a more integral role in the development of the Proud Centres programme and excited to continue to support our community with free venues and support from the Auckland Council team.

Auckland Pride is committed to increasing support for our communities to participate in our Festivals and each year we are proud to expand on that support. We’re grateful to the team at Spark NZ for the renewal of our partnership to once again support community events through the Pride & Spark Empowerment Initiative. We’re also looking forward to growing the Access Pride Fund and connecting our community to resources and organisations to improve the accessibility of their events supported by funding.

All Festival registrations along with submissions for funding and support close on the 11th of December for a release of the full programme in early January. You can access the Registration Hub here and the submission form here. Auckland Pride will make further announcements about our suite of major events in the coming days.
