What an incredible, rich and joyous Pride that was! We are so grateful to our community for their incredible events, exhibitions, performances and bodies on the dance floor. We are humbled to have shared space with Queer icons, sweeties and leaders of tomorrow. Happy Pride everybody x

To mark International Trans Day of Visibility we are sharing with you a Pao. Here in Aotearoa,

Pao are short poems often performed to a beat in Te Reo Māori. Pao have been used throughout the centuries to share pūrākau, affirm idenitity & commemorate love.

Whakamanutia Ki Te Ao was written during this years Te Tīmatanga artist residency between Pounamu Rurawhe & Rosanna Raymond, by Whaea Robyn Pryor, Matua Te Rangimarie Akena, Hāmiora Bailey, Te Kīra Whakamoe, Pounamu Rurawhe & Rosanna Raymond.

Whakamanutia Ki Te Ao acknowledges the innate strength and beauty of whakawāhinetanga and affirms the warrior within.
